2013 Events

May 17 (Friday) - First Security Bank Adoption Event at the First Security Bank on 1st and Main in Hamilton parking from 3:30-5:30.

May 27 (Monday) - Corvallis Memorial Day Parade 10:00 a.m. Volunteers meet at the shelter at 8:30, pick up dog and "Adopt Me" vest at shelter. Go to the staging area at the Corvallis High school parking lot (near the tennis courts) and we’ll walk over to parade start.

June 7 (Friday) - Sapphire Mutt Strut in Stevensville 6:00 (First Friday event – meet at Forest Service Lawn at the corner of Eastside Hwy and Main St. in Stevi. Contact is Meegan Snook at Sapphire 777-4399). They would love us to have a few volunteer dog walkers.

June 22 (Saturday) - Rummage Sale (10:00 a.m.), Shelter Open House (12:00 p.m.), Shot and Microchip Clinic. Hot Dog/Soda with donation. Volunteers: please contact Michele Craig 210-1375.

July 18 (Thursday) - "Yappy Hour" at the Hamilton Dog Park. Join the BRHA volunteers and MTCAN for an afternoon of hanging out, talking with other dog lovers, and enjoying some doggie ice cream treats compliments of the BRHA.

July 20 (Saturday) - Logger Days Parade in Darby 9:00 a.m. (see our new van!). We will be driving and may have some small dogs.

July 25 (Thursday)- Dinner at Mission Bistro in Stevensville. Join us at one of the best restaurants in the valley and support the Bitter Root Humane Association. Owners Angie and Eric have generously agreed to donate proceeds to the Bitter Root Humane Association. Reservations strongly recommended as the restaurant is small, please call (406)777-6945. Mission Bistro is located at 101 Church St. in Stevensville. Hours: Wed-Saturday from 5:00-10:00 p.m. and Sunday Brunch from 9-3. Please visit their website to learn more! www.missionbistromt.com

August 3 (Saturday) - Creamery Picnic Parade in Stevensville. Pick up dogs at 8:30 at shelter, line up for parade at 9:30.

August 10 (Saturday) - "Feast in the Field" Sleeping Child Farms "Farm Table" Restaurant with $10 proceeds to the shelter per person. $120 per person includes wine, cocktails, 5 course dinner, "Fine Dining by the Creek."

August 28 (Wednesday) - The Ravalli County Fair Parade 10:00 a.m. This is our big parade event, and will be and exciting…a great way to gear up for the fair!

August 28-31 (Wednesday-Saturday) - The Ravalli County Fair –We are back in the community building! Currently looking for volunteer committee members to make this the best fair possible!

September 14 (Saturday) - "Furry Scurry" at Hieronymus Park. We think this event is going to huge! Walk-a-thon, contests, demonstrations, pet vendors and more! Stay for "Bluegrass, BBQ and Beer" after the walk.

October - Pet o' Ween at Murdoch’s. Dress up your pet and participate in the parade. Date/details coming soon.

November 16 (Saturday) - "Frosty Paws" at the First Interstate Building at the Fairgrounds, part of the Bounty of the Bitterroot event, offers holiday photos of pets and family.

November 30 (Saturday) - "Festival of Wreaths" - a posh event to showcase our elegant wreaths that support the shelter. At the Bitterroot River Inn.
